WHAT IS JAILSPACE?
JAILSPACE is a subscriber network website designed to facilitate greater efficiency in the communication of the supply and demand of available jail space within private, local, county and federal jail facilities in the contiguous United States of America. By being a subscriber, members have up to date information available on other member facilities such as available beds listed by specific categories of male/female, general population/ad-seg/medical, and by adult/youth and minimum, medium, and maximum security categories.
JAILSPACE was started in 2007 and is the first and currently only organization designed to address capacity issues between private, local, and county law enforcement agencies and jail facilities over the World Wide Web.
WHY JAILSPACE?
By utilizing our network, jail administrators can reduce the amount of time searching for available beds for their overcrowded facility. The less time your facility is exposed to overcrowding means the less risk you face with problems associated with facility overcrowding. Additionally, our network will enable those facilities who have available capacity a more efficient means of leasing that available capacity out to overcrowded facilities, thus creating a greater return on investment for the tax payer’s who are paying for that facility sitting vacant and the staff that is required to operate it on a daily basis.
Members can update their profiles multiple times a day if needed in order to provide the most current bed availability for other members searching for jail space to lease. Each search initiated will map out the location of other nearby member sites with the ease of a click of a button. Searching members can then see what space is available, how current the information is and all pertinent contact information in order to make the call and complete the transaction. |
